Android-Nougat-7.0

How to get Nougat 7.0 update in Honor 6X [No Root required]

Honor 6X was one of the budget devices that was launched with dual cameras. Honor manages to successfully optimize the software to make the best use of the hardware. Even the battery capacity is good with Honor 6X. But the one thing that it is lacking is the Android 7.0 Nougat update and Google recently announced its successor Android Oreo 8.0. Though Honor did start rolling it(Nougat 7.0) out, many people still haven’t received it, especially in India. So today I will tell you how to get Nougat 7.0 update in Honor 6X.

Before we start off, I need to tell you that you will be receiving an official update from Honor using this method. We will just change the IP address so that the servers will give access to you for the updates based on your new updated location. You don’t require to root your device though you can backup the files in case of some update failure just to be safe. In my case, I didn’t do it and it is working all fine.

How to get Nougat 7.0 update in Honor 6X [without Root]?

  1. Go to Play Store and download the app Firmware Finder.
  2. After downloading it hit the refresh icon and check out the updates for your device.
  3. Now go to settings from the left options panel and then unselect and select the “Use proxy for install” option.
  4. It will then prompt you to download another app called Firmware Finder Proxy. It is not available directly on Play Store.
  5. Download it and install it too. Before that make sure that you have checked the option to install apps from unknown sources in the settings menu.
  6. Now just open the new Firmware Finder Proxy app and read the instructions written on the app.
  7. You need to connect your device to some WiFi connection. Then select the WiFi connection to modify network by long pressing it. In the modify network option, click ‘show advanced option‘.
  8. In the advanced option select proxy as manual. In the server space, you can enter localhost and the port can be 8080. The app firmware finder proxy actually assigns your device a proxy IP address so keep it open in the background.
  9. Now go to settings -> update. And keep hitting refresh in the interval of 10 seconds. You will soon see an Android Nougat 7.0 update popping up.
  10. Download it and install the update like the normal method. Just keep both the apps running in the background till the update is completed.
  11. As soon as you are done with the updating, go to WiFi and select proxy as none. If you keep it on manual, then the internet won’t work.

In this way, you can get Android Nougat 7.0 update in Honor 6X device without root. Though I miss some features and layouts of the older version, I feel that this is more snappy than earlier. 3 days now and I am used to the new layout. You can go ahead and change the launcher layout in settings to vertical scroll. I hope this will fulfill your wish of using Android Nougat 7.0 on Honor 6X and you won’t feel left out in the Pixel or Nexus software update race. If you have any issues in following the above method, drop some comments down below.

LeEco Le 2 full review

There is this new competition between the Chinese smartphone companies to provide best features in the least price. Sometimes they fail to keep up the with the build quality, or may be increasing the performance has adverse effects. But some companies manage to hit that sweet balanced spot where all the features are kept in mind while building a new smartphone. Recently we got LeTV Le 2 for review which is the successor to the previous model Le 1S. Let us do the LeEco Le 2 full review and find out if it managed to hit that sweet spot. It comes with this entertainment package wherein you can watch various shows and live stream of some channels.

LeEco Le 2 full review

Design – 8/10

The Le 2 smartphone has a very premium metallic design considering it is a budget smartphone. It has a matte finish all over the body, with the edges sharpened to give it a glossy shiny look. On the right, there is the power button and volume rockers while the IR blaster is on the top. USB type C charging/data syncing port is at the bottom with the speaker grills. The Fingerprint sensor is on the back with Letv logo. The phone weighs 153g approx and does feel light in the hands as it is slim. I can say that the design of Le 2 has a premium finish and you don’t need to worry about this. Though I cannot say much about the build quality. The phone is still surviving after a few falls from my pocket and table height.

Display – 9/10

LeEco Le 2 has a 5.5 inch IPS full HD display with pixel density of approx 401 ppi. The depth of all the colors, crispness and display quality is amazing. This is one thing that I love the most about this device. There is no specific screen protection mentioned anywhere but it comes with Gorilla Glass 3. The touch is very responsive and the viewing angles are great. It has touch capacitive buttons below the display. When you turn off the display you won’t notice any bezel on the sides. Le 2 must get 10 for the display but there is a thing called AMOLED.

Does the display cracks(noise) when pressed hard?

Many people heard that there was some issue with the display of Le 2. Some people complained that they heard cracking sound when the display was hard pressed. Well, I can say that you do hear some sound but that is definitely not cracking sound. It is just that there is some hollow space below the screen. It doesn’t affect the phone in any way and I have tested it well. In the normal usage you never have to press the display that hard anytime as the touch works well.

Fingerprint Sensor

Camera – 7/10

Le 2 comes with 16MP rear camera having f2.0 aperture with dual tone LED flash. The auto-focus works well though I had some issues with touch focus. The camera is average and performs great in daylight. I won’t say that this is the worst camera in this price segment. You can record 4K videos at 30fps & 720p slow motion videos at 120fps with Le 2. The front camera is of 8MP and can take some great selfies. You can use the fingerprint sensor to click selfies which makes the job much easier. The camera on this phone is much better than its competitor Redmi Note 3. Overall the camera is decent, but if you want a better camera smartphone then spend few more bucks to get Moto G4 Plus.

Performance – 9/10

The phone comes with Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 chipset octa-core processor(4×1.4GHz cortex A53+4×1.8GHz cortex A72). It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage out of which 24GB is user available. On the graphics end, it runs on Adreno 510 GPU which can process any high-end game you throw at it. Le 2 has performance as its one of the strong points and so it’s called Superphone. Now with this power comes heating. Yes, the phone does gets warm a little bit while you play high-end games. Though the maximum heat was experienced at the time of using JIO 4G + GPS + Pokemon Go + sunlight. LeEco has done a good job reducing the heat if we compare it to Le 1s. The smartest thing they have done is by providing transparent silicon case with the phone which protects it along with that it reduces the heat sensation. If you are using the phone with the case then you will not experience heat even a little bit. There was no lag in the day to day usage, but you need to clear the RAM before you start playing high graphics intensive game or you may experience a little lag. Though I had almost no complaints with the performance of this phone.

On the software side, it comes with the latest Android 6.0 marshmallow with EMUI theme running on top of it. It also doesn’t have an app drawer, you can auto arrange the icons or group them in folders. Le 2 comes with supertainment package that includes 1-year free subscription to some of the TV channels, movies/videos on demand. You have the Live button instead of the app drawer button which cannot be replaced by any other quick launch icon. The option to toggle Wifi, Bluetooth, Music is now shifted to the ‘recent apps’ button. It will take some time to adjust but then it works like a charm. The remote control app for the IR blaster worked like a charm for almost all the devices I tried to control using it.

Sound and connectivity

LeEco Le 2 Full Review

Speakers

The audio level experience of Le 2 was good and if we compare it with the smartphones that are launched nowadays, it is much better. Though I may not consider it as the loudest audio device. The speaker is just placed below the right speaker grill and the placement is proper such that we don’t cover it while playing games and watching movies.

letv le 2 IR Blaster

IR BLASTER

There are different common connectivity option like Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, OTG support, IR etc. The phone comes with Dual nano SIM support. Le 2 is VoLTE enabled that means you can use networks like JIO easily. Though there is no 3.5mm audio jack to insert your earphones. The USB type C to 3.5mm converter comes with the device. The fingerprint sensor works great and can be also used to click selfies.

CDLA earphones review – Disappointing

The CDLA(Continual Digital Lossless Audio) earphones where free for the customers who bought the phone in the very first sale. The design is the same of the earphones that comes with iPhone. Frankly I don’t like those earphones much. Here are the drawbacks:

CDLA earphones le 2

  • First of all, they don’t fit into your ears properly. So the sound leaks a lot, don’t get me started about noise cancellation.
  • Second thing, the treble is high so if you hear the audio at high level then you may experience a little pain.
  • Third, while playing games the audio from earphones distorts a lot(For example- Mortal Kombat X).

The only good thing about these earphones is the audio quality if you are in a silent room and the orange LEDs on each earpiece. The LEDs make the earphone look really cool. the build quality is also good. LeTV needs to work on refining their earphones. The price of the earphones is Rs.1990 on LeMall and they are totally not worth the buy.

Battery

Le 2 comes with a 3000mAh battery that supports fast charging. The phone can charge up to 60-75% in 45 mins and for the full charge it takes 1.5hrs. If you are a heavy user using 4G, then you will need to carry a power bank along with the smartphone. Under normal usage condition, the phone can last till you return home from work. I would say the battery performance on Le 2 is average. The phone does heat up a little while charging. Using the phone will charging is strictly not recommended.

You get 1 year of manufacturer warranty with 6 months warranty on the accessories. The price of Le 2 is Rs.11,999 and is available on LeMall and Flipkart.

So this was the LeEco le 2 full review along with CDLA earphones review. The phone is totally worth to buy in this segment. It is in fact one of the best smartphones to buy in this budget. If you want expandable storage then I suggest you go for Redmi Note 3. I actually am using Le 2 smartphone as my primary device and loving it. If you have any doubts regarding this smartphone then do comment below.

How to play Pokemon GO from home without walking [No Root Required]

Pokemon GO is a location based game wherein you have to move around different places to catch Pokemons. The game requires you to walk around various locations to catch different variety of Pokemon which are available at only certain places. But there are few lazy people who tried playing it while sitting in the car, bus, train etc. Now in the new update the game prompts you not to play it while driving. But for lazy people like me who don’t like to walk for enjoying this game, there is a new hack where you can fake the GPS location and move around with a joystick. This method doesn’t even require for you to root the phone.

Requirements

  • Android Phone with Marshmallow 6.0

How to play Pokemon GO from home without walking [No Root Required]

    Pokemon Go with Fly GPS

  10. For people using older Android version can play by continuously changing your fixed GPS location. Or maybe you can try other apps to fake GPS that may or may not require root.

You can always move the joystick by long pressing on the sides and moving it. Sometimes long pressing may close the joystick option, in that case you can relaunch the fly GPS and follow the instruction from step 4. Just start from the last used location. You can also bookmark certain locations where you often find Pokemon easily using the FlyGPS app.

What is the RISK involved in using FLY GPS to fake location?

Your account may get soft banned for a few hours if you jump on to different locations(changing countries)

How to avoid getting banned while using Fly GPS?

Always change the location according to the flight time. Like if you started playing the game choosing Mumbai as your fake location. Then next time if you plan to choose Delhi as your fake location then at least have a gap of 2 hrs(As Mumbai to Delhi flight time is around 2hrs). Till then close your game and the Fly GPS app. So accordingly maintaining the gap of playing with respect to the flight time.

Note:This is just a theory and it worked for me till now. So I will not be responsible if your account gets banned.

So this was all about how to play Pokemon GO from your home/office without walking a single step. I hope you have fun playing the game without actually walking and just sitting on your couch. Is Panasonic Eluga Note worth buying?

P_20160704_115440

Panasonic yesterday launched the new phablet Eluga Note in India. The phablet has a very thin body and is light weighted. Panasonic is selling this phablet only in offline stores saying that they want to avoid the online price war. Still I doubt that this strategy will work or not. Let’s check out the specification of the phablet and find out if Panasonic Eluga Note is worth buying or not.

P_20160704_131445

Panasonic Eluga Note has a mesh texture on the back with a very sleek design and light-weight body. It has a 5.5 inch LTPS screen with full HD display and 74% screen to body ratio. The phablet is 8.1 mm thick and weighs only 141 g. On the right it has the power button with volume rockers on the left, which is again a bad move according to me. On the bottom there is the primary microphone and the speaker grill while on the top it has micro-usb charging port, IR blaster, and 3.5mm audio jack. The 16 MP camera is on the back with triple LED flash, Panasonic & Eluga Logo. The three navigation buttons are on screen and the phablet has a 5 MP front camera.

Panasonic Eluga Note comes with MediaTek 6753 64-bit Octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. The phablet has 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage out of which 25 GB is available and you can also expand the storage using memory card. On the graphics end it runs on Mali T720 GPU. The phablet is very low on performance end and the benchmark score we got on AnTuTu was 36848 only. It took a lot of time to run the benchmark test which shows the phone is not focused on performance. When asked to Panasonic regarding performance issues they said that high clock speed will heat up the phone and consume more battery. So they have decided to increase the battery backup and lower the temperature by compromising on performance which is not the greatest move. The phablet has dual SIM 4G LTE with VoLTE support and a 3000 mAh removable battery.

panasonic eluga note worth buying

Removable Battery, Dual SIM slot, Memory Card Slot

On the software end, Panasonic Eluga comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box running Fithome 2.0. Fithome is optimized in such a way that one can operate the phablet with single hand. Though I did not find the UI much impressive. Panasonic has collaborated with Google to provide Android for Work on their smartphone. They have added a lot of gesture controls with voice command function for Camera. Speaking about that, the phablet has 16 MP rear camera (F1.9 aperture) and 5 MP front facing camera. It is supported by triple LED dual tone flash and no laser auto focus. The main missing component is the fingerprint sensor which is present in almost all newly launched devices.

panasonic eluga note worth buying

16MP camera with triple LED flash

Panasonic Eluga Note is priced at Rs.13290 which is overpriced considering all the specifications and features. You only have one color option i.e. champagne gold. The phablet will be available only offline as of now. Now answering the main questions that is Panasonic Eluga Note worth buying, well according to me it is not. You have various other awesome alternatives available like Moto G4 Plus, Le 2, Redmi Note 3, Lenovo Zuk Z1 etc. I just don’t know what strategy is Panasonic using by launching low performance device with no fingerprint sensor which will not be available online. I hope they do plan to upgrade the specifications, features in their upcoming devices and sell it online too.

Something about Quadio

Quadio was founded by two IIT graduates – Mr. Paresh Patel from IIT Kanpur and Mr. Anurag Sharma, a silver medallist from IIT. Mr.Paresh Patel himself has hearing problems which actually inspired him to start with this company. We also got to meet Mr. Neeraj Dotel, CEO of Quadio who is really excited about the new app and how this concept has the power to change the world. Sharing his excitement at the app launch, Neeraj Dotel, CEO, Quadio Devices Pvt Ltdsaid, “Hearing loss is the second largest disability in the country that affects more than 120 million lives with majority sufferers over the age of 60. The Q+ app is a stellar example of the innovative capabilities of Quadio where our customers don’t have to shell out big bucks for hearing care and anyone with a smartphone can now have access to high-quality hearing mechanism.”

When we started Quadio in 2009, the objective was to come up with a hearing solution that empowered people to hear what they wanted, how they wanted and wherever they wanted. The flexibility of controls offered by a smartphone app is much more than that offered by conventional hearing aids and, along with the affordability of smartphones, the reach of app store, and the inbuilt test, this gets us closer to achieving our objective. I appreciate the hard work put in by our team in creating a wonderful amalgam of technology, intuitive design and stellar performance into a package that is Q+.”

One of India’s finest ENT specialists, Padma Shri awardee Dr. Milind Kirtane, consultant ENT surgeon at Hinduja Hospital said,“I would say it would be ideal that universal new-born hearing screening be made compulsory or obligatory, because early detection and therefore early intervention, can really make a significant difference in the life of a person affected with hearing loss.”

Well, now all that said time to test the app and check out for ourselves if it works as promised or not.

Quadio Q+ hearing aid app for Android and iOS review

The App is now launched on the Android Playstore and iOS App store for almost all devices. You can download using the below links.

Disclaimer:This is not a proper replacement for your hearing aid hardware device. Consult your doctor if you face serious issues in hearing. Use this app only on a trial basis for now at your own risk.

Quadio Q+ Pretest configuration setting screenshot

After like successfully installing the app, you are supposed to connect the earphones and select the type standard or other. If the earphones came with your smartphone it will be standard if not then you can choose other. iPhone users with their default earphones are good to go as they are already calibrated by the company. I really think that quality of earphones would matter in this case, so try to use the best ones you have. Though when asked, the company is not really planning to launch a standard earphone that is already calibrated with their software/App. Next, the app will conduct a sound check to see if you are wearing the right bud in your right ear. After all that is done time to take a test.

Hearing Test

Now this is a test that needs to be taken by everyone and not necessarily only hearing patients. First thing you need is a very quiet room with no background noise to take this test. I would recommend you can turn off your fan for a little while till the test is completed. The steps of taking the test are very easy. The app will play sound first in your left ear and then right ear. Whenever you hear a sound, press the button that says ‘press when you hear a tone’. It is very simple and would take like less than 5 minutes to complete the test.

After the test you are presented with results which is like a graph called as audiogram. You also get a hearing rating out of 5. In the graph you can see the readings of left and right both ears for different audio levels. If you are like facing hearing issues and have visited any audiologist then you probably might have your audiogram which you can manually upload it to the app too. Based on these readings the App modifies the amplification.

Quadio Q+ hearing test score homescreen screenshots

On the main home screen, first option says to choose sound quality from 3 options that are Heavy, Flat and Sharp. Choose whatever suits you the best. Next is noise reduction to decrease the background noise. Give it like 2-5 seconds to calculate the background noise and see the magic. Turn on speech enhancement according to your need because that will surely bring up some  background noise back again. In the advanced menu, you can adjust sharpness, distant sounds, loud sounds, and own voice levels. It is pretty cool to tweak it to your customized settings. Be careful while adjusting these levels or else you will not get the optimum sound quality. Next, you have the option to start the app or stop it. Lastly, you can adjust the volume that suits your ear and according to the background. If you are in a place with loud background sound then you should probably decrease the volume or else you will end up hurting your ears.

You can take these tests on a regular interval to check your performance and improvements. The App runs in the background with a very less power consumption as the screen is turned off mostly. Plus the App doesn’t require any Internet connection to run which is again a plus point. I really wished if they could take the feedback and important hearing data from app to make changes in their app. Also, there would be a risk of breaching privacy if the app needed internet. For now, you can test the app and do let me know how it works for you.

Pricing

The App is currently available for Free and soon the Paid version will be launched at a onetime fee of Rs.500. This is one attractive price that everyone can afford to pay. There will always be a Freemium version to try with less features.

Verdict

I think with Quadio Q+ hearing aid app for Android and iOS requiring no external hardware is a great idea. If everyone starts utilizing the existing power of smartphones to make development in different fields, then it would be easier for the consumer to adapt. Surely the App does need a lot of work and I wouldn’t say that it is perfect but definitely worth a try. I haven’t tested the app with a person who is facing hearing issues, so you try it out and share the experience in the comments section below.

How to make free calls anywhere in the world

Free calling – the first thing that comes to our mind is Skype, Whatsapp or other apps and software. But all these services require both parties to install their apps to make free calls. It is not necessary that the other person (callee) would be interested in installing new apps. In that case, I will show you how to make free calls anywhere in the world without imposing any restriction on the callee.

How to make free calls anywhere in the world?

Let’s start with some websites and then move on to apps that provide free calling. Note that all the services offered will have a time restriction for each day. But this can be very useful in the state of emergency, or when you need to make a quick call or you can tell the person to call you back.

  • Websites that offer Free Calls
  • Android Apps with Free Calling (Recipient dont require internet)

Websites to make free calls anywhere in the world:

Call2Friends

This is one of the best services that you can get online to make free calls. You get one Free call per day with some time limit that will totally depend on your country and service provider. So suppose I am an Indian User trying to call another Indian user then I get 90 seconds time limit. The callee will receive a call from a random number and not your mobile number. Now they have made signing up process mandatory for all users. So you need to create an account before you start making free calls.

Call2Friends make free calls

Type in the mobile number in International format or choose a country first and then enter the mobile number. Next, you need to press the call button to connect the call. Your browser may ask permission to use the microphone and you need to select Allow. In this way, you can make one free call per day unless you know some technique to change your IP. Remember if you called on some number using your home PC, and on the same day if you try to call the same number from office PC, then it won’t work. Any number in the world can be called only once per day using this service which is quite annoying.

iEvaPhone

In the homepage, there is an information section where you will find ‘call from website’ option. After that, you can choose Flash or WebRTC(Show WebPhone) to display the dialer. Next, dial the number with country code and enjoy your free minutes. The call is placed from some random number from UK.

Visit their website and sign up for a new account. Once you complete the signup process, you will be told to download their windows client through which you make free calls. One free call will last for 50 seconds and I was able to make 2-3 free calls. I am not sure if they renew the free credits but you can earn more credits by referring this service to your friends. You have the option to change the caller ID to Hidden, random number, or your mobile number too.

RingToIndia

This service offers 30 free minutes only once when you sign up. If you want more then you need to create another account with different credentials. Note Indian users cannot sign up on this website and I don’t know the reason. But if you have a number from outside of India then you can surely go ahead and give this awesome service a try.

Call from a private number

This app offers 0.10$ free when you sign up using the above link. The speciality of this app is that you can call using a private number so your number will not be displayed. Instead, the caller will see “Private Number” or “Number Withheld” on his caller ID when you place a call. This is so cool just like the James Bond movies. Along with that, you can earn more free credits by completing actions such as downloading other apps.

Libon

You get 5 minutes of free calling anywhere in the world. Note that there is a time validity on these credits, so you need to use it before the expiry date. You can go to settings and hide your number if you want to turn on the “James bond” mode. You don’t have any option to increase the Free minutes so it’s like a one-time offer.

PriceRaja android app compare prices online

Compare prices online with PriceRaja App

Buying products online have proved to be a boon as well as a curse. You can see the details of every product that is launched in the market which was not possible through the offline stores. But too many products will have too much information which will create confusion of choosing the right product. On top of that, we have to compare prices to select the product that fits in our budget. So today I will show you how to compare prices online with PriceRaja App which is available on different app stores.

Compare Prices online with PriceRaja App

PriceRaja, as the name suggests is a price comparison website which also supports sorting according to the different features of a product. They have now introduced an Android app along with a chrome extension. I will do a full review of the Android app to see how convenient it is to compare prices online with PriceRaja App.

PriceRaja Android App Full Review

First, you need to download the PriceRaja android app from the aforementioned link. When you first launch the app, it has a very clean layout though they have many things to show. The first thing to observe is the different categories of products available.

Categories

It has various categories like Deals & Coupons, Mobiles, Tablets, Laptops, Cameras, Television, Fashion, Home & Kitchen, Home Decor, books along with some tech accessories too. So depending on the product you are purchasing, just choose the proper category.

Next, you need to choose filters which is one of the best features of this app. Initially, I used to use the filters present on Flipkart and Amazon while choosing a product. But they also had some limitations which were overcome by the PriceRaja app.

Filters

There are various filters available in the app that will help you to shortlist some of the best products in a particular category. Like if we choose ‘Mobile and accessories’ as our category. We will then have the option to apply filters like Price, brand, series, RAM, Screen, Camera, Operating System, Processor, battery, and storage. That covers almost all the features of a phone by which you can do the sorting. Applying multiple filters will narrow down your search even more, which in turn will make the decision making much easier and accurate. The sorting process is applied very fast and you get the results quickly. If you have a brand preference then it would make your life a whole lot easier. While if you are not much associated with technology still you can manage to choose some of the best products using these filters. After shortlisting some of them you can actually go through the details of each product one by one.

Reviews

Applying filters is mostly like playing with numbers and only the numbers can never tell you which is the best product to choose. Next comes the user reviews which are kind of confusing in some cases, but can also help you a lot to get an idea about the product. These reviews will tell you the hands-on performance of the product when it comes to the user’s hand. You have reviews from different websites and platforms all at one place which is again one of the best features.

Specs

As we are in the mobile section, we have got an option to check out the detailed specification of the product. These are again numbers but yeah will tell you almost every single detail about the product. Specs are arranged in a proper tabular form with an analysis report that is generated by comparing that product with others.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Alternatives

If you want to check the alternative competitors of your product, you directly have an option to do so. While checking the mobile phone segment I found this alternative feature work quite accurately. Plus you can compare it together side by side too. They have quite a lot of features you have to explore all by yourself to get a hang of it.

Photos

The next option here is of photos of product shot from a different angle. This is again something which is lacking in many e-commerce websites & you can just see 1 or 2 photos of the product you are going to buy which is a disappointing.

Price History

This is an innovative feature where it shows a bar graph with price change along the time since it was launched up till now. You can also set an alert to be received in case the price drops again, how cool is that.

Comparison

After viewing the specs you can add the product to comparison list and move on to the next product. At last, you will get a list of shortlisted products which you can compare based on price or specifications. This is like the deciding stage where you will choose the best product for you out of all. While buying you have the option to see the price at which the product is sold on different e-commerce websites. You can choose to go with the least price with just some touch/clicks. And if you still don’t have the time to go through all this long procedure, then you can straight away head to Deals & Coupons section to get the best deals available in the market. This section has some categories like Fashion, Travel, Food, Movies, Recharge, & sort by store too. So you can get deals and coupons in all these different categories

Verdict

Using such kinds of an app for comparing prices and specs makes it much easier to choose product out of the different range available. One drawback that I found is still there are some products which are not listed on this app. So if PriceRaja patches this up then it’s a great app to use. This was one of the easiest methods to compare prices online with PriceRaja app. At just fingertips anybody with little or no knowledge can also make the right choice when it comes to online shopping.

Top 5 websites to buy grocery online in India

We all have to go to the market to buy groceries and other stuff. One of the main reason we prefer that is, we can do bargaining and check if all the items are in good condition. For some people that is also a reason for an outing. But this is still the traditional way of buying stuff that needs to be changed. As most of the people are working now, they will not get time to buy grocery. So today I am writing an article mentioning top 5 websites to buy grocery online in India. But before that we will see some of the advantages to buy grocery online.

buy grocery online india

Advantages of buying Grocery Online

Your mom will often send you to the market/store to buy groceries and other stuff. So for me, it will be a boon if my family started purchasing grocery online. So the first reason to purchase grocery online is convenience. You just place an order and your order will be delivered at your doorsteps. The next benefit is that it will save a lot of time. In this time, you can do your other important stuff or maybe relax at home. Plus you get to see all the products available in the online store which is not the case with offline purchase. You can never ever guess what all products the offline store is selling until you irritate the shopkeeper. If you ask me, I will pay a bit more rather than go to the offline market/store to purchase what I want. If it’s 2 or 3 things then it’s a different case. I also see many people going to some famous stores like D-Mart where they offer huge discounts on whatever you buy. So I can conclude on this, if you get some discount plus good quality stuff online, then there is no harm in purchasing your groceries online.

Top 5 websites to buy grocery online in India

1. ZopNow

Zopnow has a fullscreen website design with the categories on the left and products on the right. It has small fonts with a bit congested product showcase but because of that, you can see many products on the same page. It has many categories apart from the usual kitchen category like bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, office, pet and cleaning. The most exciting thing to notice is they offer free shipping on all orders with no minimum order criteria. They promise to deliver within 3 hours of order placement depending on the location and availability of the item. The places where they deliver include cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Hyderabad, Pune, Gurugram(Gurgaon), Delhi, Mysuru, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, & Noida. They have a funky way of calling the customer as zopper and they offer some online credits called zoppies which you can again use to buy products from their website. You also earn zoppies while you do some shopping and its very similar to a loyalty reward program. They also have a referral program through which you can earn more zoppies when you shop next time. Online payment and cash on delivery are two options for the payment. If you are doing shopping via mobile then they have a app for Android and IOS users to buy grocery online.

2. Askmegrocery

The layout of the website is very clean despite they have a lot of items up for sale. There are various categories like Beverages, grocery & staples, baby care, packaged food, household, bread & dairy, personal care, stationery, cosmetics & pet supplies. On the right, you can see some combo deals & deals of the week. The products are presented in a very neat and clean way with a price tag on the website. They currently deliver in 17 states with different locations. Delivery is free for orders above Rs.499 and if it is less then Rs.40 is charged as a delivery fee. The order is delivered within 6 hours of order placement or you can also choose the order to be delivered in a particular time slot between  09 30 hrs to 18 30 hrs. If I choose my city then I can say they have a great reach in delivering their products to many locations. They accept payments with Debit/Credit cards along with Net banking, Cash on delivery, Sodexo coupons and even card on delivery. Cancellations are accepted for physical products and not perishable items until the order is not shipped.

3. Bazaarcart

Bazaarcart has similar categories as Askmegrocery but they also sell International products, Ramdev Patanjali products, Ayurveda products, clothing and some electronics too. They deliver only in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida & Ghaziabad. They also have Free delivery on order of Rs.500 and above or else they will charge Rs.50. They have a shipping period of 12-24 hrs after the order is placed. You can also tell them to drop your order with your nneighboror gatekeeper. They accept online payments in the form of credit card, debit card, net banking, Paytm, Mobikwik wallet, Cash on delivery, & gift voucher. You can also do a society registration with them to get some exciting offers. I also tried the live chat feature which works great but a bit slow response. Also if you wish to go only for dry product and you stay in Delhi, then you can head over to DilliGrocery too. They offer only one mode of payment i.e. cash on delivery to be safe. Mostly the deal in bulk orders so they have free shipping over Rs.3000. They have app only for Android users.

4. Nature’sBasket

They have a wide range of delivery location coverage in India. You can checkout the complete list on their website. The offline stores are present in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru & Hyderabad. The categories includes International cuisine, Health conscious products, confectionery & patisserie, and other common stuff. Other than that you also have shop by recipe option which is also great. To make things more exciting they conduct various cooking events in their nearest stores. The payment modes include online payment, cash on delivery, card on deliver, Paytm and other wallets too. In most cases they offer Free shipping but if you choose cash on delivery, Rs.40 will be levied as cash handling charges. They promise to deliver your order within 3 hours of order placement(conditions applied). I think this will be the most innovative website of all with events and shop by recipe option. They also have their own mobile app for Android and iOS users.

5. Bigbasket

This website also covers many cities and the list is given on their website. Apart from the usual categories they also offer fresh meat. There is a separate section for the offers they launch. The delivery options include same day delivery and you can also choose time slots. They only charge Rs.20 as delivery fee or if you place an order above Rs.1000 then its a Free delivery. They also have an app for Android and iOS  users. The payment modes include online payment, cash on delivery, Sodexo passes only for food items.

One more benefit of buying from these online store is, they use eco-friendly bags to pack your stuff. So these are some top websites through which you can buy grocery online in India. There are some other websites like Reliance fresh direct, kiranawalla, aaramshop, naturallyyours, Grofers etc. Apart from this you can always search websites that serve your locality. I really think people should buy grocery online or at least should give it a try once. If you have ever done it please share your experience below in the comments section.
